Children's Ministries

We seek to help children grow in faith, as they are a blessing and a gift! There are three (3) parts to our Children’s Ministries:

  • Morning Sunday School
  • Virtual Sunday School
  • Sharing the Faith

Children's Ministry

Morning Sunday School

We believe that participating in worship services is beneficial for our kids. They spend time with their church family, pray with us, and learn songs of praise. But sermons can be a bit of a snooze for kids (and a bit over their heads).

During this time, children are invited to leave the sanctuary for some kid-focused learning in the form of a Bible story and activity.
Morning Sunday School takes place during our weekly 9:15 a.m. Sunday worship service. All children are welcome, however we ask that smaller children are accompanied by a parent.

Virtual Sunday School

Being a parent today is hard. We get it. Do your kids have early-morning sports? Do you have health concerns which make you cautious about in-person activities? Did your kids go to Morning Sunday School but just couldn’t get enough?

Sunday School is also offered virtually most weeks. These classes begin at 1:00 p.m. and last 15- 30 minutes. Afternoon Sunday School covers the same topic as Morning Sunday School, but delivered in a modified way. Don’t worry – it’s just as educational, engaging, and fun!

Sharing the Faith

Once a month, we invite children to spend a little more time with us diving into the Word. These 3-hour classes are a time of lively songs, science experiments, food creations, creative crafts, exciting games, and interesting Bible stories. This is a great opportunity for children to create bonds with one another, and develop a passion for Jesus Christ in their hearts.

Sharing the Faith is held the third Saturday of each month during the school year, from 11am to 2pm. Children aged 3 years and up are welcome. Please bring a bag lunch and lots of energy!

Sharing the Faith is offered at no cost, however registration is required.

As parents we want what is best for our children. We know that raising them with faith in Jesus Christ is what is best. Joy Lutheran Church is here to help with that.
